Parvovirus

Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that affects dogs. It’s primarily spread through fecal matter, so if your dog has parvovirus they’ll probably be able to pass it on to you or other dogs in the house.

The virus lives in the intestinal tract of dogs, but they can shed it in their urine and feces. So if your dog gets parvo, they’ll probably be able to pass it on to you or other dogs in the house by shedding their waste outside or by licking themselves after going outside.
