Feline Urolithiasis

Urolithiasis is the medical term for the formation of stones in the bladder and/or kidneys. Stones can be made up of many different substances, but most commonly they are composed of struvite crystals and calcium carbonate.

These stones can cause blockages, which then become very painful for your cat. The stones may also pass out of the body through urinating or defecating. For this reason, it’s important that you catch any signs of a problem early on so you can get treatment right away.
