There is a lot of confusion over the role of nutrition, homeopathy, and holistic medicine in canine cancer treatment. Mainstream medicine has been slow to embrace the potential for diet and lifestyle to impact recovery, but this is starting to change.
Drake Dog Cancer Academy was founded by Amber Drake, author of The Behavioral Guide to Dog Cancer. Her journey on the cancer path began when her dog, Paws, was diagnosed with cancer but she received the statement, “there’s nothing else we can do.” Several years later, she realized there were other options, and since that point she has been set on making sure other dog lovers have the opportunity she did not.
Drake created the Drake Dog Cancer Academy in response to an overwhelming demand from dog lovers who wanted science-based information on holistic approaches to treating their dogs with cancer in addition to what can be done to reduce dog cancer risk.
The academy currently features two courses:
- The Dog Cancer Diet
- Integrating Holistic Treatment Into Western Medicine For Dogs With Cancer
Both courses provide an abundant amount of information you can refer back to throughout your dog’s cancer journey (or before they even have a diagnosis). If your dog does not currently have cancer, the time to start preventative measures is now. Cancer rates are continuing to rise and joining the fight against dog cancer can put the number to a halt.
