Holistic Veterinarian

A holistic veterinarian is a veterinarian who takes into account the physical, mental, and emotional health of an animal in addition to its medical health. Holistic veterinarians believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, so they seek to support the animal’s natural healing process rather than suppress it with drugs and other treatments. This can mean treating an animal with homeopathy or acupuncture instead of medication, for example.

Holistic veterinarians also believe that animals have feelings and emotions similar to humans, so they try to treat their patients as individuals rather than just as animals. They try to establish a relationship with their patients’ owners so they can understand what kind of care will make their pet feel comfortable and happy.
